How many of us have set out on an intention or goals, but somehow aren’t able to attain it? I am aware that we may have two parts operating in opposition to each other. Joe Dispenza describes it like this “The conscious intellectual mind may reason that it wants joy, but the body has been programmed to feel otherwise for years.” By itself, positive thinking never works. We may be in a polarized state because one part of the brain says one thing in order to override how we feel on the inside. When the mind and body are in opposition, change will never occur.

So much of this is on an unconscious level that prohibits us from feeling good and manifesting what we want. Two opposing intentions will create a canceling out of the other so it will be hard to bring the positive intent into fruition. Joe’s new book is entitled “Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself; How to Lose Your Mind and Create a New One.”

If our mind is that powerful why don’t we take time to listen to what is filtering through it. Gaining a little self-awareness of our mind can lead us to new levels of potential.

Tips on rewiring our brain

  • Take time to listen to those inner voices that will keep us stuck in limiting patterns.
  • Discover what roadblocks keep coming up in our lives- what messages do we need to hear so that they won’t repeat themselves?
  • My tried and true method is to write a sentence stem and complete it seven times with something you are feeling. For example, I’m feeling stuck because… Discover what the THEME is you are feeling.
  • By rewiring our brain we can move in new directions and attract new relationships, and career success. We can discover who we really are separate from the programming that has previously dictated our behavior.
